Simple Strategies That Solidified A Win

Dr. Sandy Chung came to Side Door Solutions with a unique need. She wanted to become president of the American Association of Pediatrics and be the first president ever elected from the AAPI community. However, due to campaigning rules, she needed to find alternative ways to engage voters and tell her story.

Side Door Solutions developed a custom Small Door Package that would spur voter engagement and create organic awareness for her campaign.

It included things such as:

  • A “What You Need To Know About Dr. Chung” visual graphic that could be shared through the pediatric community quickly

  • Several short videos of Dr. Chung explaining her position on key issues such as Racism, Equity, Mental Health, and Private Practice

  • A position video explaining why she is running

  • A “Share Your solutions with Sandy” call to action

Simple steps like these created the awareness and engagement necessary to solidify her WIN! This was due to three main components of the content pieces developed on her behalf: shareability, engageability, and relevancy . We wanted Pediatricians to share, engage, and discover how Dr. Chung'‘s election would impact their lives. Dr. Chung’s success illustrates how simple steps can be effective for capturing an audience and propelling people to vote for the preferred candidate .

We are so excited for Dr. Chung and her role as the next AAP President!
