Only What You Need

One of our values at Side Door Solutions is to only ever give clients what they need. We often see many companies trying to have a digital presence on every platform possible when, in reality, you are much better off mastering a few platforms that your audience uses often. You may not need Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. Know your audience and use only what you need.

  1. To know what you need, first, know your product. Are you selling fashion merchandise, an idea, a candidate, a restaurant?

  2. To know your product, know your audience. Knowing your audience will tell you everything you need to know when pursuing a particular platform for sharing your product or message.

  3. Research behavioral patterns of your target demographic. What media platforms are they using most? Instagram? Tik-Tok? E-Sports? Reddit? LinkedIn?

  4. Pick the top two platforms your audience uses and work on mastering the content and messaging for them.

This only what you need strategy is particularly useful when launching a new business or product. When you focus too much on having a presence everywhere you can end up spreading yourself too thin. Concentrate and execute. Want some help executing this strategy? Message us today for a free consultation.
